Kim Delaney, an American actress, is best known for her character detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she received an Emmy Award. Her appearances are All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney was the sole daughter of a United Auto Workers senior executive and a domestic worker, was raised by four siblings. Though she had a goal of becoming journalist, it was not until the time of her high school days that she began modeling. When she moved away from New York City and gaining experiences in commercials at New York did she achieve the career as aspiring court reporters. As a teenager her first appearance as an actor was on the soap opera All My Children. Delaney is well-known as an actor who has appeared in many films, TV movies, and dramas. As with her professional career however, her private life has not been a success or happy one. This actress who's gifted and stunning, has had to battle drinking before. The marriages she has had ended in failure two times. In 2005, she was denied custody of the only child she was born with.
